Last week, we had the pleasure of assembling a custom wooden gazebo for a customer in Bayonne, New Jersey. The customer already had a concrete base in place, so our task was to fully build the gazebo structure and install the metal roof. It took 2 guys, 1.5 days, and the client paid $2,500 for labor—and they were thrilled with the result.

Step 1: Preparing the Worksite and Unboxing Materials
Before anything, we confirmed the base was solid and level. Then we unboxed all the wooden beams, roof panels, and hardware. We made sure everything was laid out properly to avoid delays.
Step 2: Building the Frame
We began by erecting the four main support posts and connecting them with horizontal beams. It’s important to ensure everything is perfectly square and level—this sets the tone for the entire structure.
Step 3: Adding the Crossbeams and Supports
Once the main frame was secure, we installed the crossbeams and curved braces. These add critical stability to the structure and prepare it for the roof assembly.
Step 4: Installing the Roof Panels
We laid out the pre-cut metal roof panels and lifted them into place. This part takes patience and teamwork to align everything perfectly and securely bolt it down.
Step 5: Final Touches – The Finished Gazebo!
After a few hours of tightening bolts, checking symmetry, and adjusting angles, the gazebo was fully assembled. The roof looked sharp, and the wood beams gave it a strong, natural look.
